Rothbart is heading for trouble, I don’t doubt. Stalking a royal & planning wildlife harassment can have dire legal consequences.
Just my guess, the nobleman might be saying what Odet is likely thinking. :^)
Rothbart looks awfully alarmed at seeing that foreign dignitary… somebody he knows maybe? Or maybe someone from the same place Odet is supposed to be. Hmmm… I wonder.
